Sharing the Hope of Jesus – Here and Around the World
God’s love changes lives, and we believe the Church is called to carry that love beyond our walls through local outreach and global missions.

Local Missions
There’s a place for you to make a difference.
Loving and Serving Our Community
Our mission begins right where we live.
CLC partners with local ministries and organizations that are meeting practical needs and serving people throughout our community and surrounding region.
These partnerships give us opportunities to put our faith into action, care for people, and demonstrate the love of Jesus in practical ways.
Throughout the year, CLC brings people together to serve our community through local outreach opportunities.

Helping Widows, Seniors, & Single Parents
Isaiah 1:17
Isaiah 1:17 is a ministry to widows, seniors, and single parents, which is project-based on an as-needed basis. Once a project request is evaluated and confirmed, an email will be sent to anyone who has affirmed their interest in serving in this ministry.
Common requests are minor home repairs, yard work, assistance to move, transportation, etc. Please let us know if you have any “other” skill sets not listed that would benefit this ministry.
Learn to do right; seek justice. defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. Isaiah 1:17 NIV
Street Outreach & Evangelism
Kensington Outreach
Kensington Outreach brings CLC volunteers into Philadelphia’s Kensington community to share the gospel, pray with people, and demonstrate the love of Jesus through personal connection and compassionate outreach.
The team traditionally serves one Saturday each month from spring through fall, creating opportunities for worship, prayer, conversations, and hands-on ministry. New volunteers are welcomed and connected with ministry leaders before participating.
Senior Care & Companionship
HumanGood
HumanGood provides senior living and affordable housing communities, including Bensalem Presbyterian Apartments, where CLC has opportunities to serve older adults in our local community.
Volunteers help residents with everyday household tasks, such as cleaning refrigerators, turning mattresses, and organizing living spaces. Just as importantly, they spend time listening, talking, and building meaningful connections that remind residents they are valued and cared for.
Food Pantry & Community Resources
Feast of Justice
Located in Northeast Philly, this grocery store-style food pantry uses volunteers to effectively feed about 550 families each week. Through food distribution and connections to essential services, the organization helps address hunger, meet practical needs, and bring hope to the community.
CLC partners with Feast of Justice through group serving opportunities that support food distribution, pantry operations, and other community needs.

Making a Difference Together
Giving to missions is part of the regular rhythm of generosity at CLC.
On the third Sunday of every month, we collect a special Missions Offering that helps support missionaries, ministry partners, outreach efforts, and opportunities to share the hope of Jesus here at home and around the world.
Every gift matters. Together, our generosity allows us to go farther, support more missionaries, strengthen ministry partners, and help more people experience the life-changing love of Jesus.
